SwipeSimple Appointments will automatically send your customers a confirmation email and/or text message when an appointment is booked. You can set up two extra reminders to help your customers remember their appointments. This helps reduce no-shows and last-minute cancelations, saving you time on managing reminders yourself.
How to enable Reminders
- The options for reminders can be found under Settings > Booking Policies
- These settings control when reminders are sent. In addition to the confirmation email/text, you can send up to two additional reminders.
- These reminders can be configured to be sent out from 1 week to 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. You can also disable them via these settings. You will find the following options:

- First Reminder Settings
- How many hours before the appointment (up to a week) before sending the first reminder.
- Second Reminder Settings
- How many hours before the appointment (up to 15 minutes) before sending the second reminder.
- Note: A good general rule of thumb is to send the first reminder within 48-24 hours of the appointment and the second reminder within 12 hours.
- First Reminder Settings
- In addition to the reminder settings, you will also see options for the following
- Enable SMS Reminder to Staff
- This sends reminders to the user assigned to the appointment.
- Enable Reschedule Link for Reminder SMS
- This allows customers to reschedule their appointments via the reminder text.
- SMS & Email Custom Message
- These options allow you to add a custom message to the default messages.
- Enable SMS Reminder to Staff
