Customizing the Booking Experience in SwipeSimple Appointments

Set up your business details, policies, users, appointment types, and reviews with the guides below. You’ll also learn how to enable two booking experiences for your customers: Booking Page or Mini-Website.

General Business & Policy Setup

Business & brand information

This information appears on your booking page, appointment confirmations, reminders, and review requests. Ensure you include the following:

  • Business Name
  • Business Logo
  • Business Contact Information

Choosing your booking experience

After completing the steps above, you are ready to select how customers book with you: Booking Page or Mini-Website. 

Booking Page 

A simple appointment list that can be visited by customers or embedded directly into a website. This is ideal if you already have a business website or if you just want to keep things very simple. Below is an example of what a Booking Page looks like.

Mini Website 

Showcase business details, contact info, and reviews while allowing easy appointment scheduling. It is a fantastic tool for branding and improving your customer experience. Perfect if you do not already have a website and want to have the look and feel of a website. An example is shown below. 

Enabling the Booking Page

  1. Go to Settings > Booking Preferences
  2. Enable the toggle, Skip Background Image and Pop-Up (REQUIRED)

  1. Recommended Booking Preferences:

    • Display Business Name > On, if you do not have a logo
    • Show Logo on Booking Page > On,  you do have a logo
    • Show Brand Name on the Booking Page and Email > On, if you do not have a logo
    • Display Book Another Appointment Button > On
  1. Optional Customization 

    • Display Description in Pop-Up Under Appointment: If you have set descriptions for your appointment types, turn this on so they show on your booking page to customers. 
    • Lock Time Zone on Booking Page: Leave this setting off if you are booking virtual meetings and want your customers to be able to book viewing their time zone.
    • Allow Added Guests: Turn this on to allow customers to add guests to the appointment
    • Allow Message Field: Turn this on if you want your customers to be able to send you a message during the booking process.
    • Display Book Another Appointment Button: Turn this on to show a "Book Another Appointment" button after customers confirm a booking.

Enabling the Mini Website

  1. Go to Settings > Booking Preferences
  2. Disable the toggle, Skip Background Image and Pop-Up (REQUIRED)

  1. Recommended Booking Preferences:

  • Enable Display Business Hours: This setting toggles a business hour section on your Mini website. 
  • Display Appointment Types and Group Events: This setting will ensure your list of appointment types displays on your website. 
  • Display About Us: Turn this on if you have something entered into the About Us section in your Business Details.
  • Display Description on Booking Home Page: This setting toggles the appointment type descriptions on your Mini Website. They will appear under the Appointment Types.
  • Display ‘About Us’ as ‘About Me’: This setting changes ‘About Us’ to ‘About Me’ when Display About Us is turned on. This will only work if Display About Us is toggled on.
  • Display Description in Pop-Up Under Appointment: This setting toggles appointment-type descriptions during the booking flow. 
  • Display Business Name: This will display your business name in the top left corner of your Mini Website.
  • Display Phone Number: This setting will display your phone number on the Mini Website home page. 
  • Allow Message Field: Turn on so your customers can message you when booking their appointments. 
  • Display Book Another Appointment Button: This setting enables a “Book another appointment” button on the confirmation page. 

Optional Customization

    1. Message for pop-up scheduling page: Set a custom message at the top of the Mini Website where customers choose their appointment type.
    2. Customize Labels: These fields allow you to change the labels throughout your Booking Page and left-hand navigation bar. 
    3. Customize Styling: These settings allow you to customize the accent colors and text of your Booking Page. 
    4. Invitee Questions: This setting lets you customize the form fields displayed on your Booking Page and their display order. Change the order by clicking the dots left of the field and dragging it to the position in the list you want. 

Public Booking Links

Once you’ve configured either the Booking Page or Mini Website, access your public booking link by clicking the blue link icon in the top right corner next to your profile icon.

Appointment Type Links

This type of link allows you to send a booking link to your customer that is specific to the appointment type. By using this link, they can only book that particular appointment type. You can find this direct link by navigating to Appointment Types and clicking the blue link icon next to each appointment type.

User Links

This type of link allows you to send a booking link specific to a member of your team. By using this link, users will only be able to book with that specific member. You can find this link by navigating to Users and clicking the blue link icon next to their name.
