Digital Receipt Signatures
A cardholder may be prompted for a signature when a CVM (Customer Verification Method) is required. When prompted, the cardholder can sign by drawing their signature on the screen. This signature will be captured on the digital receipt. Digital receipt signature capture is available with SwipeSimple mobile on both iOS and Android, as well as with SwipeSimple Terminals: A80, A920, and A920 Pro.
A Merchant can enable/disable this option themselves by tapping on the menu button in your SwipeSimple application and navigating to Settings > Signature. The signature prompt has three options to choose from: Always, Never or Above $25.
In some cases, your processor may override these settings on a per card basis.
Paper Receipt Signature
SwipeSimple on PAX Terminals includes a built-in receipt printer with the handhold device. Merchants who have on-receipt tipping enabled will automatically include a signature line on the receipt when printed.
Terminal users without on-receipt tipping, or mobile users with a supported printer that wish to include a signature line on the paper receipt have the option of adding an underscore line on the receipt footer. Receipt customization such as this is done from the SwipeSimple Dashboard.
