SwipeSimple allows for easy management of both inventory and regular services using the Item Catalog. There are several ways to make a sale using Items
View Existing Catalog Items on Mobile or Terminal
Tap the Items tab to view all existing catalog items available to add to a sale. Items are listed alphabetically, grouped by Category. If Categories are not in use, items appear as a single alphabetical list. Use the search bar at the top to find specific Items and Categories.
The tab lists all sellable items with the Item Name, Price, and if the item is taxable.
To perform a quick search in the list of managed items, scroll to the top of the list to the search bar, then enter the item’s name or price.
Add Items and Discounts
To add items from the list to the sale, select the items by tapping on them. Navigate to the cart to tab to review Items in the sale before finalizing.
Adjust Item Quantity
Tap the desired item the same number of times as your preferred quantity or navigate to the cart to adjust the Item count up or down.
Tap an item twice to add two of the selected item to the sale.
Adjust Item Price
You can change the price of an item after adding it to the cart. Open the cart, tap the item, and edit its Unit Price. The new price applies to this sale only and does not change the item in your Item Catalog. For full details, see View and edit items in the cart.
Dynamically Priced Items
If an item is set up for dynamic pricing, tapping it prompts you to enter a unit price before it is added to the cart. After it is added, it behaves like any other item and can be edited in the cart. To set an item up for dynamic pricing, see Dynamic Item Pricing.
