SwipeSimple can keep your Bluetooth card reader connected between transactions, so it’s ready to go when you start the next sale without the application reconnecting each time. This feature is enabled by default for SwipeSimple mobile version 7.22 and above.
How “Stay Connected” Works
When Stay Connected is enabled:
- Your B350 reader remains connected after a transaction finishes
- The reader is immediately ready for your next transaction
- The reader will automatically disconnect after one hour of inactivity
This is ideal for merchants processing back-to-back payments or working from a single device.
If you prefer, you can also choose to disconnect the reader after each transaction. You can change this setting at any time if your workflow changes.
When You Might Want to Disconnect Instead
You may want to select Disconnect if:
- You use one Bluetooth reader with multiple phones or tablets
- You don’t want the reader to stay connected after each transaction
- You frequently switch devices throughout the day
Disconnecting ensures the reader is available for pairing with another device right away.
Reader Compatibility
- Supported: B350 Bluetooth Readers
- Not supported: B250 and B200 readers
B250 and B200 are legacy readers and will always disconnect between transactions.
Where to Find This Setting
On iOS
From the main menu, open Settings, then select Device Pairing.
With Use Bluetooth Reader turned on, tap After Transactions to choose whether your reader should Stay Connected or Disconnect.
On Android
From the main menu, open Settings, then select Device Pairing.
With Use Bluetooth Reader turned on, tap After Transactions to choose whether your reader should Stay Connected or Disconnect.
