To initiate a refund from SwipeSImple Dashboard, Navigate to the Transactions page and locate the transaction you wish to refund. By default, SwipeSimple will display transactions taken in the last 30 days. If you don’t see the transaction you’re looking to refund, you can change the selected date range by clicking the filters button to the left of the search bar.

Refunding full transaction amount
Once the transaction has been located, select TRANSACTION # to navigate to the transaction details page. Select Issue Refund to begin the refund process. Note that selecting Issue Refund will not automatically refund the transaction but will give you the option to choose the dollar amount you want to refund, allowing for partial refunds. Upon selecting the Refund option, the original transaction amount is pre-filled. If you are refunding the full amount of the original transaction, you can choose “Refund.”
Partial Refunds on SwipeSimple Dashboard
Navigate to the Transactions tab and select the Transaction # for the transaction you want to modify. Select "Refund'. Upon selecting the Refund option, the original transaction amount is pre-filled. Type in the amount you'd like refunded before selecting "Refund" to finalize the transaction.
After Issuing a Refund
A full or partial refund result will appear as a new record on the Transaction History page. If only a partial refund from a total amount is processed, return to the original transaction listing should you need to refund any remaining transaction balance.
If an error was made when processing a refund, the refund can be voided (up to 24 hours after it was originally processed) before your next daily batch. Select the Transaction number for the refund. Next, Select the Void button. If the Void option is not displayed, the void period has expired.
After your refund is processed, it will settle in your next batch. The amount of time it takes for a refund to be received by your customer’s bank account varies based on your customer’s card issuing bank.
