When processing a refund in SwipeSimple on a PAX terminal or register please note that:
- A transaction taken on a PAX terminal or PAX register must be refunded on the same physical device it was initially processed on, and you must have the original card details available (i.e., Either the physical card must be present to swipe, dip or tap the card, or card details available to key in manually).
- Refunds can only be processed by an admin user on a SwipeSimple account.
Issuing a refund:
Select the three lines appearing on the top left-hand corner of SwipeSimple to access the App’s Menu. From the Menu, select Transaction History. Navigate to the transaction you wish to modify. You can locate the transaction by scrolling down or using the search bar.
Once you locate the transaction, tap the transaction to open the transaction record. Tap "Issue Refund". Upon selecting the Refund option, the original transaction amount is pre-filled. Select "Refund" to process the refund.
